Machu Picchu Adventure is a magnificent tour arranged for travellers with short time and interested to explore the most beautiful and important sites in Cusco.
Upon your arrival to Cusco, we will take you to the hotel and then join our staff for a briefing about the wonderful tour that awaits you. Today, begin the day with a ATV tour in the misterious two lakes of Maras in Cusco.
Pick up you at 13:00 hrs. The adventure starts from our base in Chequereq (Sacred Valley), approximately 40 minutes from the city of Cusco. This tour has the best views of the region – beautiful snow-capped mountains, landscape with traditional villages and the lakes of Piuray and Huaypo.
We will pick you up at 4:00am to go the train station to leave for Machu Picchu. During the 2-hour train journey, you will have an amazing views of the landscapes the Sacred Valley, Urubamba and the Amazon rainforest have to offer while providing you with a small hint of what Peru has to show. When we arrive to Aguas Calientes, we have a short walk to the bus station and then a 30 minute bus journey up to Machu Picchu. Once inside, you will receive a two hour professional guided tour of the beautiful Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary followed by some free time to explore the area on your own. After enjoying a magic time in Machu Picchu, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch, later you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon your arrival to the train station, we will pick you up and take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
After we pick you up at your hotel 4:00 am, we will start our adventure to the Humantay Lake with a 4-hour-drive in private transport to Soraypampa (3850 m.a.s.l.). Soraypampa is the campsite for the first day of the Salkantay trek.
In Soraypampa we will have a delicious breakfast to start our day well before beginning our trek. In Soraypampa we will start our trek up to the Humantay Lake (4200 m.a.s.l.) with beautiful views and if the sky is clear enough, we can see the impressive snow-capped Salkantay and Humantay.
It is a 1.5-hour-walk to the lake with a low to moderate difficulty, and more than worth it when you see the magical view. It is also possible to rent a horse instead.
We will have enough time to take pictures, bring an offer to the Apus, After some free time, we will start our descent to Soraypampa of about 1.5 hours, which is a lot easier than the way up. In Soraypampa lunch will await us and after some rest we return to Cusco where we will arrive at 6 p.m.
Pick up from the hotel 4:30am. we go with our transport to the community of CUSIPATA by paved road approximately 1:30 hours, then continue along the Cusipata branch for a space of 30 minutes more, until arriving at the Town of CHILLIHUANI village, where we will pass through picturesque places like TINTINKO, RIO TIGRE, we will observe the Mountain of Surina for the LLACTO village, then I will pass the control of the Municipality of CUSIPATA, in the place you can appreciate the flora and fauna in their natural habitat. (Llamas, Alpacas, Vicunas, etc.). Where we will continue our journey along a dirt road for about 20 minutes until we reach the starting point of our walk.
Rainbow Mountain via Cusipata New Short TrailNext already prepared we began our adventure towards the Mountain of Colors for 1 hour and a half approximately, where we can appreciate panoramic views such as the Red Valley and Mountains with Nevado del Ausangate and small lagoons, where we will have lunch and we will be able to appreciate and Take pictures of the Mountain of Colors. Then we will begin to descend to our starting point for 1 hour and a half approx. Our transport will be waiting for us there. Then return to Cusco for 2 hours approx. Where will we arrive at 5:30 p.m. aproximatelly and we will leave you at your hotel end of our services.
After breakfast, we will take you back to the airport according your flight itinerary, end of service!
